Getting Started
How does STANS work?
STANS tracks ticket prices across multiple platforms (SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, TickPick, Gametime, and more) so you can compare prices and find the best deal. Add events to your watchlist, and we'll monitor prices throughout the day and alert you when prices drop.
Does STANS sell tickets?
No. STANS is a price tracking and comparison tool. When you're ready to buy, we redirect you to the third-party ticketing platform where you can complete your purchase directly. We do not process ticket transactions.
Is STANS free to use?
Yes. STANS is free to download and use. You can browse events, view prices, and track a limited number of events at no cost. Premium features (expanded tracking limits and advanced alerts) are available via an optional subscription.
Price Tracking
Which platforms do you track prices from?
We currently track prices from SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, TickPick, Gametime, and other major resale platforms. We are continuously adding new sources.
How often are prices updated?
Price update frequency depends on how close the event is:
- 30+ days out: Every 24 hours
- 14-30 days out: Every 12 hours
- 7-14 days out: Every 6 hours
- 3-7 days out: Every 4 hours
- 1-3 days out: Every 2 hours
As the event date approaches, we check prices more frequently to ensure you have the most current information.
Why might prices differ from what I see on the platform?
Ticket prices change frequently and may vary by the time you visit the ticketing platform. Additionally, some platforms add service fees, delivery fees, or taxes at checkout that may not be reflected in the listed price. We indicate when prices shown are before fees with "+ fees" labels.
Price Alerts
How do I set a price alert?
Open any event you're tracking, tap the alert icon, and set your target price. You'll receive a push notification when the lowest available price drops to or below your target.
I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do?
- Make sure notifications are enabled for STANS in your device's Settings > Notifications.
- Ensure you have an active internet connection.
- Check that you haven't muted notifications within the App.
- Try signing out and signing back in to refresh your notification token.
Account & Subscription
How do I manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions to view, modify, or cancel your STANS subscription.
How do I delete my account?
To request account deletion, email us at info@stans.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We will process your request and delete all associated data within 30 days.
Troubleshooting
The app is crashing or not loading.
- Make sure you are running the latest version of STANS from the App Store.
- Try force-closing and reopening the App.
- Restart your device.
- If the issue persists, contact us with your device model and iOS version.
An event is showing incorrect information.
Event data comes from Ticketmaster and may occasionally contain errors. If you notice incorrect event information, please contact us at info@stans.app with the event details and we will investigate.
AI-Powered Recommendations
What is the AI recommendation on the tracker page?
When you track an event, STANS analyzes price trends and provides a recommendation such as "Buy Now," "Wait," or "Tracking" along with a confidence percentage. This is based on historical price patterns for the event and how prices typically behave as the event date approaches.
What does the confidence percentage mean?
The confidence percentage (e.g., "65% confident") indicates how much price data STANS has collected for that event. A higher percentage means more data points and a more reliable recommendation. Events tracked for longer or with more active resale listings will generally have higher confidence scores.
Should I rely solely on the AI recommendation to buy?
The recommendation is a helpful guide, not financial advice. It's based on price trends and patterns, but ticket markets can be unpredictable — events can sell out, performers can cancel, or demand can spike unexpectedly. Always consider your own comfort level and the risk of waiting.
